Overview

ScoreFlow is a digital sheet music app for iOS and Android. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what data ScoreFlow collects, how it's used, and your rights.

Data We Collect

Data stored on your device only

ScoreFlow stores the following data locally on your device. This data is never transmitted to our servers:

PDF scores you import into the app
Annotations (drawings, text, highlights) you create on scores
Setlists you create and organize
Bookmarks and jump links within scores
App settings and preferences (metronome tempo, tuner calibration, page turn settings, etc.)
Practice streak data (which days you opened the app)
User profiles (name, instrument — used for annotation authorship)

Camera access

ScoreFlow requests camera access only for the face page turn feature. The camera feed is processed entirely on-device using Apple ARKit (iOS) or Google ML Kit (Android) to detect facial gestures. No images or video are recorded, stored, or transmitted.

Microphone access

ScoreFlow requests microphone access only for the tuner and pitch pipe features. Audio is processed entirely on-device for pitch detection. No audio is recorded, stored, or transmitted.

Internet access

ScoreFlow uses internet access only for the following optional features:

iCloud Sync (iOS): If enabled, syncs setlists, profiles, and annotation layers via Apple's CloudKit. Data is stored in your private iCloud account and is not accessible to us.
Google Drive Sync (Android): If enabled, syncs scores, setlists, profiles, and annotations to your Google Drive's private app data folder. Data is stored in your Google account and is not accessible to us.
Premium subscriptions: Purchase validation through Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect analytics or usage data
We do not use advertising SDKs or trackers
We do not collect your name, email, or any personal identifiers
We do not have servers that receive your data
We do not share any data with third parties

Cloud Sync

Cloud sync is optional and disabled by default. When enabled:

iOS: Uses Apple CloudKit (your private iCloud database). Only you can access this data. Apple's privacy policy applies to iCloud storage.
Android: Uses Google Drive App Data folder (a private, hidden folder in your Google Drive). Only ScoreFlow can read this data. Google's privacy policy applies to Drive storage.

You can disable cloud sync at any time in Settings. Disabling sync does not delete previously synced data from your cloud account — you can manage that through iCloud or Google Drive settings directly.

Spotlight and App Search

ScoreFlow indexes your score titles, composers, and genres in the device's local search index (iOS Spotlight / Android App Search) so you can find scores quickly. This data stays on your device and is not shared with Apple or Google beyond the standard search index.

Widgets

Home screen widgets display recent scores, setlist entries, and practice streak data. This data is read from local storage on your device only.

Children's Privacy

ScoreFlow does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app does not collect personal information from any user.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted in the app and on our website.
